We’re looking for TWO interns this fall at Lily Lane Home.  If you are a student interested in Graphic/Web Design and/or E-Commerce  we’d love to hear from you!  These are both wonderful opportunities to work at a growing local design business in the Dallas area. Though this will be your specialty, you’ll have the chance to learn more about all facets of the interior design business and our showroom!

Graphic/Web Design Intern

Lily Lane Home is a home decor retail company with a brick and mortar store located in Dallas

Texas with an online store hosted on the Volusion platform. We are seeking a Graphic/Web

Design Intern with the following experience that can readily adapt to making improvements on

the design and functionality aspect of our online store. This position would also be responsible

for conceptualization and creation of graphics for web, social, email and other online marketing

campaigns.

Our goal is to also continually improve the user friendliness and the ranking of the online store

on most major search engines. You will also support the efforts of another intern charged with

entering product photos, data, pricing and order management of the store.

We’re looking for someone to work approximately 15-20 hours/week for the Fall 2014 semester.

Responsibilities:

• To continually improve the appearance and functionality of Lily Lane Home’s online web

store.

o Design

o Function

o SEO

• Create visuals to be used on websites, social media platforms, marketing materials,

infographics, and blog graphics.

• The Graphic/Web Design Intern will work closely with our Ecommerce Coordinator

Intern, Social Media Director and business owners. This is a highly collaborative

position.

These are the skills and experience needed to be considered for the internship:

Requirements:

• HTML and HTML5

• CSS

• Graphic Design

• Working knowledge of the Volusion Online Store Platform (experience preferred)

• JScript

• SEO

• Attention to detail

• Currently enrolled in and working towards the completion of a bachelor’s degree in

graphic design, web design, visual communication, or similar

• Ability to communicate ideas through both verbal and visual presentation

• 15-20 Hours per week

• Great communication skills

E-Commerce Coordinator Intern

Lily Lane Home is a home decor retail company with a brick and mortar store located in Dallas

Texas with an online store hosted on the Volusion platform. We are seeking a e­Commerece

Coordinator with the following experience that can readily adapt to making improvements on our

online store.

We’re looking for someone to work approximately 15­20 hours/week for the Fall 2014 semester.

Responsibilities:

online customer service

uploading images to our website,

uploading products to our website

maintaining and updating products

Product SEO

The Ecommerce Coordinator Intern will work closely with our Graphic/Web Design Intern,

Social Media Director and business owners. This is a highly collaborative position.

Order management

Account Management

Quality assurance

Product attribution for search and navigation

Website shop­ability and creation of brand appropriate web categories based on selling

and merchandising strategies.

You will be expected to develop strong keyword descriptions that will improve rankings of

the product line and the store brand.

These are the skills and experience needed to be considered for the internship:

Data entry experience

Data entry accuracy

Attention to detail

Photo enhancement or modifications software

Volusion online platform product entry and management

SEO keyword search

Competition analysis

Excellent writing skills.

A passion for retail and specifically ecommerce in today’s marketplace.

Superior verbal and written communication skills

15­20 Hours per week
